Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the Real Gone Daddies are in it for musical adventure. Their sound incorporates elements of many styles, including funk, jazz, Latin, and rock and roll. The Daddies enjoy experimenting with odd meter, improvisation and unconventional song structures while crafting and performing their music. Their positive disposition keeps the groove alive amidst progressive changes in tempo, mood and feel.

Typically, the instrumentation is three voices, two guitars, bass guitar and drum kit, with keyboard and percussive goodies occasionally joining the mix. These Daddies have been playing as a unit since 2001, the band having grown out of the early '90's Ottawa scene. On their newly-released debut recording, extinct, the band weave tight, funky grooves together with infectious melodies and lush harmonies to create a sound that is truly their own.
